Many Colorado ski areas offer women’s-specific clinics, lessons and events for female skiers and riders. Participating women will enjoy networking with fellow active skiing and snowboarding women, learning new skills from leading professional female instructors, and enjoying women-centered experiences.

Here are some women’s clinics and events for female skiers and riders in Colorado:

Arapahoe Basin

Legendary Ladies Clinic

This women’s clinic group meets on Wednesday mornings for sliding on snow and exploring Arapahoe Basin’s terrain in a fun, non-intimidating environment. Each session is led by specialized women’s coaches, and both skiers and snowboarders are welcome. Small class sizes allow for individualized attention; all Legendary Ladies classes max out at six students per instructor. www.arapahoebasin.com

 Aspen Snowmass

Women’s Edge Program

The Aspen Snowmass Women’s Edge Program is a four-day women’s only clinic led by Aspen’s top female instructors that has been running for more than 30 years. Participants can range from intermediate to advanced, and the group can ski at any of Aspen Snowmass’s four mountains: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass. Beaver Creek

Women’s Social Ski Tour

Available Tuesdays through Fridays until March 30, the Women’s Social Ski Tour sponsored by Starbucks allows like-minded and skill-minded women to experience Beaver Creek together. The tour meets at the bottom of the Centennial Express Lift (#6) at 10 a.m., allowing for morning ski school drop-off for children and extra time in the morning. The tour lasts two hours and is complimentary. Led by women from the Ski School Ambassador team, the tour provides a relaxed atmosphere to build skills and confidence for the intermediate to advanced female skier and snowboarder. www.beavercreek.com

Breckenridge

Women’s Ski Week (February 11-16)

The fourth annual Women’s Ski Week — a week dedicated to women and snow sports — returns to Breck, Feb. 11-16.  Women’s Ski Week at Breckenridge Ski Resort highlights the resort’s offerings for women of all ages in a welcoming, supportive and fun environment aimed at improving skiing or snowboarding skills. The classes encourage moms, sisters, daughters and girlfriends to get the most out of the mountain and town, while connecting them with other like-minded women who also love snow sports. Women’s Camp (February 14-16, part of Women’s Ski Week): A 3 day program, with the same instructor, which will bring your skiing to new heights. In addition to the top level of instruction, participants are invited to after-hours discussions around women’s specific ski equipment and the effects it has on your ability to improve.

A relaxing half day lesson for women only (starting at 1:15 p.m. every Wednesday) followed by a complimentary glass of wine for après.

Women’s Ultimate 4 Ski Lesson

Copper Mountain

Women’s Wednesdays

 Crested Butte

Women’s Tips on Tuesdays

This half-day women’s-specific ski school session is led by CBMR’s top female professionals, and concludes with a glass of wine at the resort’s new on-mountain Umbrella Bar. The Women’s Tips on Tuesdays clinic is available to female skiers levels 3-7 and is ideal for ladies looking for a guided group session with instruction and an informal, fun vibe.

Elan Women’s Weekend (January 19-21)

The Elan Big Mountain Women’s Weekend at Crested Butte is a weekend ski experience for women, intermediate level and above. Guests can demo award-winning Elan Ripstick freeride skis while exploring Crested Butte’s expansive terrain with a Ski and Ride School instructor. The event kicks off on Friday night with a welcome party, followed by free demos, guided instruction all day Saturday and half day Sunday, as well as lunch on the mountain both Saturday and Sunday. Women’s Days Multi-Week Program

The Eldora Women’s Days Program helps women improve their skills and share their passion for winter sports with other women. Big Mountain Betty Fest (February 10-12)

Sister’s Meeting the Mountains (April 6-8)

Women’s Ski Camp

Women’s Ultimate 4 Ski Lessons (Dec. 25, 2017 – Jan. 5; Feb. 16 – 23; March 18 – 30)

The Women’s Ultimate 4 Ski Lessons are small group lessons with a maximum of 4 women per class, guaranteeing more individualized attention and customized lessons. Experienced female instructors guide this empowering, social, and relaxed all-female program. With lessons running from 12:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., moms can conveniently squeeze in a lesson while children are away at ski school.  Ideal for first-timers to beginner levels, 1-4.
