Try It On : Saola Tahoe Brindle | By Lexi Reich

Last Updated: August 18, 2021By

The sneaker boot trend is in season and Saola has created a notable feminine, sustainable slip-on match for it. I wore these shoes almost daily throughout September. They worked perfectly for all my summer to fall transition outfits — from the gym to work, shorts to pants, dressing up or down, they really shined through it all.

They’re lightweight and composed of an algae foam outsole and a malleable recycled upper. The rubber panels assure long-lasting durability. They have the look and feel of suede but are made with recycled PET from plastic bottles (there are three to four recycled bottles in every pair!). Plus, they’re 100 percent vegan — ultimate score!

The style runs small, so order a half size up. The shoes take multiple wears to break in. I had a blister on my heel from the first week of wear but now well over a month into owning them, they fit my feet perfectly and are super comfortable.

The amount of compliments I’ve received with these shoes shows me I’m not the only one adoring the sneaker-boot style. Adding the sustainability factor on top of this makes me believe these really are the perfect pair of kicks this time of year.

They’re priced at $109.95 and besides the beautiful brindle color, there is also a black option.
